Ok, I’ll admit it. I have ADHD. So I’ve been told that it manifest differently in women than men. I now see it. Here’s what goes on in my head most days.
So many things I want to get done today. I have to prep dinner, finish some crochet projects…oh, and those chilies I bought on Sun I have to process them and get the seeds out. Of course, I also want to make chili crisp. But wait, I saw this video of how to make Ghanaian cheese and I want to make it! It looked so good and would go with tonight’s dinner in a salad. And the sun is kind of shining so I also want to get outside – maybe just grab some pots from the shed and walk around the garden and check things out. Omg, the kids are off and we have them for the next 6 days!!! Yikes. I have to find things for us to do as a family.

In the end, I got dinner done, made the Ghanaian cheese called wagashi (which, btw was delicious! https://youtu.be/gCP4NPIf6pg), and did some crocheting. I also ended up watching some YouTube videos on cooking and gardening.

Oh, I also planted two chayotes (see above) that I bought at the store today. I have been wanting to grow this but never got around to learning about how. Today I came across a reel on Instagram on how to grow your own and made a stop at the grocery store on the way back from the kids’ school. I got lucky and found two with a significant sprout. So in soil it went in a container. They grow as a vine and I had no idea!

Even more reason to grow them is that they have tubers, which are edible, along with their leaves and stems and seeds! Talk about a versatile plant. It’s also high in Vit C. I’m so excited about growing this fruit, which is part of the gourd family. I’m also growing eddoes, ginger, lemongrass and turmeric. The year’s garden will be filled with so many more varieties of produce than last year. And I can’t wait to share it!!!
Are you gardening? What are you growing this coming season?
